“A heartfelt thank you to each and every couple who invited me to capture their day”
I remember when I first started shooting weddings; the buzz I would get every time an enquiry came in, the happiness I felt when that enquiry turned into a booking and the butterflies in my stomach on my way to the actual wedding. All these years later and I still get those same feelings.
2014 was an incredible year. Not only did it see the birth of our fourth child, Isla, as a documentary wedding photographer I got to travel around the country, meeting some amazing people and spending my days telling stories with my camera. I photographed weddings large and small, weddings across the country, weddings down the road as well an incredible 60th birthday party that I’ll never forget.
Rosie and Tom, Stella and Sen, Katherine and Olly, Sonia and Daniel, Lou and James, Juliet and Christian, Caron and Jonathan, Cat and Alastair, Kate and Nick, Nicola and Andrew, Polly and Matt, Lindsay and Nick, Prriya and Mark, Sarah and Spencer, Abi and Mat, Emma and Simon, Louisa and Graeme, Karen and Neil, Emily and Richard, Lauretta and Andrew, Moss and Mark, Jemma and Graeme, Lucy and Ash, Sara and Adam, Louise and Lucy, Kate and James, Yvonne and David, Kathryn and Ben, Tessa and Andy, Sarah and Dan, Melanie and Rob, Kayleigh and Matt, Laura and Philip, Hannah and James, Hanna and Blaine – Thank you!
Without further ado, here is a selection of some of my favourite pictures from 2014. These are all real moments taken without any interference or direction.
We’d love it if you left some love in the comments section below and please do share this on your favourite social media sites too.
Absolutely fabulous photos. You certainly capture the moment beautifully. Thank you.
Awesome set of images Steven, really worth the wait for this post 🙂 So many great shots, “these are the good old days” is top stuff 🙂
Dude what a stunning collection of photographs – love the table tennis shot, the Bride walking down the steps with the flowers, and the black on white silhouette with the other guy, amongst many others. As Adam said, well worth the wait!! Wishing you a great year ahead matey
These are pure class Steven. Stunning work.
A beautiful narrative to what was clearly a varied and well travelled year for you. Your images prove that great wedding photography doesn’t need bells, whistles, avant garde compositions and clever trickery – just pure, honest storytelling, with a great eye for the moment and well thought out compositions. Love it. Wishing you all the best for an equally successful 2015
I absolutely love these images! Great job 🙂
Only seeing this now, Steven… It’s so very, very special.
WOW … lovely work, really captured some lovely moments there; great editing too.
Thanks Andy – really appreciate that. All the best for 2016 🙂
